Giovanni Capriotti's collection of images featuring the unconventional yet increasingly popular world of Gay/Inclusive Rugby won him the first prize in "The Stories" category of TIME's World Press Photo contest. One of the handful poignant snapshots captured the moment when the Knights won the Bingham Plate at the 2016 Bingham Cup, beating London's Kings Cross Steelers.

With a strong bond of brotherhood we commit to each other and to excellence in building our legacy.
Keep moving forward with us and discover what's next for the Gotham Knights.
The Gotham Knights Rugby Football Club was founded in 2001. Through our 15 year history we have proudly fielded teams of diverse athletes of all skill levels and dedicated experience to competitiveness, excellence and fitness in rugby while refuting negative stereotypes of the Gay/Bi-sexual male athletic community. While our membership is not Gay/Bisexual exclusive, all active members fully support their Gotham Rugby brothers and support the Gotham Mission to the LGBTQ community.
Hard work on the pitch is supported and fostered by generosity from outside. We are grateful for our donors and sponsors supporting us in our mission. Gotham is also proud to give back through community involvement and charitable works.
